CARDIAC SURGERY AND INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY*
The Cardiothoracic Resuscitation and Critical Care Unit,
Located on the ground floor of the Surgical Block ("Rea Cardiothoracica") has 11 beds in total (Critical care + URPA).
Portfolio of Services of the Unit:
-Cardiac surgery.
-Heart transplantation in adults with congenital heart disease.
-Thoracic surgery.
In all of them, the entire process is comprehensively handled: preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative.
-Anesthesia in the Hemodynamics Unit.
-Anesthesia in Electrophysiology.
-Sedations in the Cardiac Imaging Unit.
-Anesthesia and sedation in Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy Unit.
-Patient Safety Plan: Zero Bacteremia, Zero Pneumonia, Declaration and analysis of adverse events and plan to improve them.
-Participation in teaching plans: Teaching plan for resident physicians, both for residents of the service and for rotating physicians.
-Participation in the hospital's hospital committees: Joint sessions and joint projects with the rest of the critical care and anesthesia services and the Coronary Unit to develop joint protocols, as well as unify joint action plans.
